Civil War Basketball
Last night I shot the final Civil War to be held in McArther Court. The game stayed close to the end with the Beavers winning for the first time at Oregon since 1993.

Everything was laid out perfectly for the Oregon fans.

I’m Living My Dream
Never in a million years did I think that I would get to take photos of sports like I have in the last 12 months. I photographed events before 2009 but not like I have since I started working with the OSU athletic department. I went from a high school yearbook and a small local paper in 2008 to being published in newspapers I have never heard of more websites than I can count and even a cover of a magazine. 2009 was great for my photography, now I can’t wait to see what will happen in 2010.
Here are some of my favorite photos that I have taken from the past year.

Las Vegas Bowl
I traveled with OSU to the MAACO Las Vegas bowl this past week. I have never traveled with the team before, never been to Vegas before and the constant changes in lighting and environment made for a very draining, exciting, challenging and fun experience. These are just a few of my favorites.

Another Series of Photos on Slipstream Sports
Last weekend I took photos of the National Cyclo-Cross Championships in Bend, Oregon. During the summer I gave my photos to the Garmin Cycling U23 Team while they raced in Central Oregon. Danny Summerhill of the Garmin team won the U23 title on Saturday so I dug up the Email I had from the summer and sent my pics to the team that I took this weekend. They used them!
War For the Roses
I got to shoot my first Civil War and it couldn’t have been better! Obviously I was there for Oregon State so the outcome could have been better but the game was still fun to watch and photograph.
Beaver Classic
I only take cross country photos once or twice a year but when the photos look like this I wish I did a little more often.

Its Been A While
Ok, I have not posted in a long time. Here are few images that will fill you in on what I have been up too.
First Time Out
On Saturday I was able to take photos of my very first home football game at Oregon State. It was great looking back on it but while in the middle of all the running around I felt some serious pressure. I am interning at the OSU athletic department this year as a photographer. In the past I just gave the communications department photos sometime after the game but now, as an inter and with the expectations of photos to be ready soon after the game the pressure seems to have grown a little.
As I drove into Corvallis on Saturday about 90 minutes from kick off I was informed that there could be a gallery of photos that would be put up right after the game. This worried me because I have only photographed high school football. College ball is so much faster, but I just did what I know how to do and took the best photos I could. I yielded some very usable photos too. Now I am just counting down the days to my next college football game
My First Cover Photo
This summer I followed the Cascade Cycling Classic in July. For those who do not know what this
is, it is a cycling race that takes place over 5 days here in Central Oregon. I love bike racing so I try to keep those 5 days free in my calendar so that I can take photos of it. Some how a magazine found my photos on the Trek-Livestrong team’s facebook page and wanted to use them. They contacted me asking to use them and that one of the photos mould be on the cover. I sure couldn’t say no to that! Now, I can say that I have had a photo on the cover of a magazine
